Pike County Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to Pike County Busted Mugshots. By using the service, a visitor agrees to these terms. A visitor who does not agree should not use the service or any partner tool reached through it.

Pike County Busted Mugshots is privately owned and is not affiliated with a government body, sheriff, jail, or corrections department. It is not a private investigation firm. Neither this service nor its advertising partners provides consumer reports or FCRA-covered services. Information and partner tools may not be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another FCRA-regulated purpose.

Nature of the Service

This is a private reference service, not a government records system. It does not store official jail, booking, or court records, and it cannot confirm custody, release a person, file documents, or act for a public agency.

The service directs visitors toward public Pike County record resources and partner research tools. An outside tool does not become an official source merely because it is linked here.

Acceptable Use

Access is permitted only for lawful, respectful purposes. A visitor agrees not to:

  • Violate a law or another person’s rights while using the service.
  • Use information to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Use information for a credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or other prohibited FCRA purpose.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to the service or a connected system.
  • Use bots, scrapers, or similar automation without written permission.
  • Interfere with the service, its security, or another visitor’s access.

FCRA Prohibited Uses

Pike County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide background checks, consumer reports, credit reports, or screening services, and neither do its advertising partners through this service. A visitor agrees not to use information from the service or a partner tool for any purpose regulated by the FCRA, including:

  • A decision to hire, retain, promote, or terminate a worker.
  • Tenant, housing, or rental screening.
  • Creditworthiness, loan, or insurance-premium decisions.
  • Licensing, permit, or government-program eligibility decisions.
  • Any other use restricted by the FCRA or similar law.

Outside Services and Links

Links may lead to government portals, court resources, agency pages, partner tools, or legal-information services. Pike County Busted Mugshots does not control their content, data practices, availability, or terms. Visitors should review the terms and privacy notice of each outside service before using it.

No Warranties

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. No warranty is made that it will be complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors.

  • Information may not be accurate, complete, or current.
  • Access may be interrupted or unavailable.
  • Code may contain errors or security weaknesses.
  • Partner-tool results may be limited, delayed, or incomplete.

Custody and public-record information can change quickly. Nothing on the service is an official statement from a sheriff, jail, court, or government agency.

Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Pike County Busted Mugshots and its owners, contributors, and partners are not liable for damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service or an outside link.

Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pike County Busted Mugshots, its owners, contributors, and partners from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising from the visitor’s use of the service or violation of these terms.

Intellectual Property

Service text, design, logos, graphics, and code are owned by Pike County Busted Mugshots or its content partners and are protected by applicable law. They may not be copied, distributed, altered, or used commercially without written permission, except where law permits.

Term Revisions

These terms may be changed at any time. A revision becomes effective when posted. Continued use after posting means the visitor accepts the revised terms.

Access Restrictions

Access to all or part of the service may be limited, suspended, or ended at any time, with or without notice, for any reason permitted by law.

Pennsylvania Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Pennsylvania, unless applicable law requires a different forum.

Severability

If a provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. The affected provision will be interpreted only as needed to make it enforceable where possible.

Questions About Terms

Questions about these terms may be sent through Get in Touch. Questions about custody, release, or a government record must be directed to the responsible public office.
